SASSA will be rendering companies including new social grant applications, change of payment method, customer care enquiries, plus the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.

In an announcement, the agency said it really is alarmed concerning the significant quantity of people relying on social grants for survival.
“The aim from the Integrated Registration Outreach Programme [ICROP] is to reach-out to your high quantity of clients/beneficiaries to access SASSA services.

“This is often as a result of lack of infrastructure at Fernie and there is no fully functional office dedicated to service the area every day. The provider level produced for intervention experiences a high inflow of probable beneficiaries, that makes it tough for your office to attend to all people who stop by a service sassa point.

“In this reach-out programme, SASSA will mobilise additional sources to enable the servicing of all prospects and boost usage of Social Assistance products and services,” the agency said.
